Nokia and AT&T Entry Level Lumia 710

T-Mobile and Nokia is planning to release entry level smartphone soon. While the Lumia 800 is their best windows phone for high class level, they named the entry level smartphone as Nokia Lumia 710 or Nokia Sabre. The Nokia Lumia 710 uses 512 MB RAM , operated by Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, has 3.7 inches powered by 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 gpu. When we see the design, it is little bit similar with Lumia 800. We can say it is as a cheaper alternative to the Lumia 800 with colorful design .On an event next week Nokia 710 will hit the US local operator, AT&T.

RIM is On Its Way of Services Ban In Indonesia

Well Indonesia is a largest of Blackberry market as for now we get information RIM has sold the phone over 4 million units just in Indonesia. We can tell that Blackberry is a rich folks trademark in Indonesia. Few weeks ago RIM has sold the Blackberry "Belagio" for just 50% off the normal price. And you know the day before there has been thousand people waiting to buy it. This might be one of a kind event in Indonesia which no other vendors has done that.

Anyway the Indonesian government now is threatening to ban BIS and BBM services within the nation if RIM doesn't build its data center server in Indonesia. It seems that Indonesian government are upset that Research in Motion will be building its new data centers in Singapore, rather than in Indonesia.

RIM is aware that Indonesia is a huge market, but unfortunately under-appreciated. "The money obtained from these countries are also big, so contributed a server in Indonesia also for the benefit of their markets in the future.

Righ now the current BlackBerry users from all over the RIM's partner operator , such as Indosat, Telkomsel, XL, Three, Axis, Bakrie, and Smartfren, has 10 million subscribers. Soon if this banned executed, Blackberry will be just an ordinary smartphone just like the others.

Honeycomb Tablet Version is Only 1% in Market Share

Android as an open source operating system for mobile devices has been developed with many versions. The Android version 3 which is claimed by Google as the best OS for tablet is called Honeycomb. This Honeycomb has been released together along with Motorola Xoom on February 2011. And now many vendors also adapt the Honeycomb for their tablets.

Recently Chitika as Advertising Network has been going on research on the Android version which has dominate the mobile devices OS right now. The result is that Honeycomb OS for tablet only took place 1% of the tablet market. The biggest percentage is taken by Gingerbread with 65%, then Froyo with 28% and the rest is cupcake and donut .

Why Honeycomb which is claimed the best OS for tablet only get 1% on the market? Some people says probably the reason is that when the first released of Honeycomb along with Motorola Xoom, google has not provide the source code itself to developer and the the lack of applications supports for Honeycomb. Unlike Apple which has first introduce the IOS few months before releasing the iPad, so the applications for IOS has been prepared and ready. Also many analyst argue that the lack of supported game on Honeycomb is one of the main factors.

Apple has successfully sold 6.9 million iPad units in the last quarter. Users of Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and Android also is rumored to still vying for the iPad. We hope that Ice Cream Sandwich can change the market share for Android in 2012, lets see.

Sony Erricson Xperia Gingerbread Upgrade To ICS is Pending

Android ver. 4 or Ice Cream Sandwich OS has a reputation as a high end mobile devices OS. Google is trying to make android as market leading OS for smartphone and tablet pc. For this reason Samsung and Google produce Samsung Galaxy Nexus with built in ICS. Other vendors also adapting this ICS OS for their mobile devices. One of them is Sony Erricson.

Sony Erricson is preparing an upgrade for their Android Gingerbread based, Sony Erricson Xperia to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Anyway Android ICS is optimized for Samsung high end mobile devices like Galaxy Nexus. While Sony Erricson trying to make an upgrade, recently they are having difficulties to upgrade Android Gingerbread to ICS as this OS is optimized to be use with Texas Instrument for the OMAP chip.

Sonny Erricson with Xperia is using Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset so they are planning to change few hardware of it to work with ICS OS. Sony Ericsson engineers are required to change some parts of the ICS source code and coupled with the source code of Sony Ericsson as well as trying to eliminate some problems that may arise.

Sony Erricson also must make sure that all features and functions of the hardware of the phone can work well as a camera, bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, sensors, drivers, and others. Once everything is tested then the next stage is to receive official certification, and for Sony Ericsson they explain that to products launched globally they need a certification at least up to 80 countries.

So for Sony Erricson Xperia user should be patience to enjoying new Android OS as we know that many amazing features are available in ICS like face recognizing and many more. 

Blackberry Playbook OS Update Hacked again?

The Blackberry Playbook with OS 7 is having an update to covered the security hole which is a patch to access the root. This broken security hole patch is made by a security hackers to easily rooting the playbook.

While RIM is releasing an OS update to cover it on their web, the Dingleberry, a security hackers, has been succeeded again to break into an updated playbook with new exploit. Just only a few hours later after PlayBook get updated OS which is claimed to cover the security hole is successfully broken again. The RIM trying hard to survive and the hackers tries to strike back.

Amazingly it happened just a few hours after RIM gave a new OS update for the Playbook. But blackberry users do not have to worry, this broken security hole is only happen with playbook. After all playbook users should be patience while RIM fix this problem. We say this is new lesson for vendors that hackers is spying their product to find the weakness of their product.

We can tell this will be a challenging for RIM and is a tough work for immediate repair and cover vulnerabilities that exist on the BlackBerry Playbook.
