LG Optimus Dual SIM P698

Having dual SIM card on one mobile phone is not a problem anymore. People who live in Indonesia sometimes has more than one SIM card due to different network signal of each place. One of dual SIM card mobile phone with Android OS is LG Optimus Dual SIM P698.

LG Optimus Dual SIM P698 has some good features :
3G 900/2100 MHz ,GPRS/EDGE
Processor 800 MHz, GPU Adreno 200, Qualcomm MSM7227T chipset
3.2 inch Capasitive Touch Screen TFT 320 x 480 pixel,
Internal Memory 150MB, 512 RAM
Camera 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixel, with Auto focus
Android v 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) Operating System
Li-Ion 1500 mAh Battery

This Smartphone has good clean screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixel which bright and wide enough to see even from different angle. But the use of capasitive touch screen might be little old fashion technology. The capasitive touch screen has good clear display even under the light day. Some expert say that this touch screen is very smooth and sensitive with finger touch without pressure. However it does not support stylus, or even when we use glove, the screen cannot be operate. So users with long nail finger might have difficulty to operate handle it.

The camera with 3.15 MP and auto focus is sharp and clear enough to take a picture shoot and records video. Unfortunately this does not equipped with flash light to use under low light / dark places. Another camera features are ISO, White Balance, Color Effect, Timer, Image Quality, Auto Review, Shutter Sound, Tag Location, Zoom, Brightness, Scene, Image Size, which might be useful.

LG Optimus Dual SIM P698 with Android OS also can play MP3 and video with standard applications. The MP3 player can be operate under lock screen too. So it really helpful to pick the song whenever we want. Also the video recording with standard VGA resolution 640 x 480  is clear enough even indoor or outdoor.

Pros
Good Dual SIM capability
Big Battery capacity
Smooth and Clear display

Cons
Small internal memory capacity
No Flash light.

Thus the gadgets will be more fun and faster with eye candy graphics overall made world simply getting so small.

It starts from Nvidia with its quad core processor comes out to high end smartphone like Motorola, HTC etc. Recently the rumors comes out from Samsung as the most innovative vendors with its Quad Core Processor Exynos 4212. Blackberry 9900 and 9930 Battery Problem

The competition between Smartphone vendor is very tight right now. We can see from operating system software available on the market now, like IOS, Android, Blackberry OS, and Windows phone. Many user has had bad experience with their smartphone lately. iPhone 4S user has battery power problem, and now we had heard that Blackberry user had battery problem too.

There are Blackberry 9900 and 9930 users reported that after a night long recharging, they having difficulties to turn the smartphone on for a while. There are not known yet how many users had this problem.

For this problem, RIM has been actively working hard to release an update to solved it. We hope they don't do the same mistakes like Apple did when they release an update for IOS 5 due to battery problem. Like the news said that the update of IOS 5 made the battery problem even worse.

We guess that many vendor is really having tight schedule to hurry release their product to the market. They don't have time to test it for while. But yet we don't see any of android or windows phone users had similar problem with their smartphone. We hope they don't.

We all know that LG has been launching LG Optimus 3D few months ago. This Android Smartphone has so many interesting features, including 3D video recording, 3d image capture and something that amaze me is this 2D game converter into 3D game.

The 2D to 3D game converter has ability to analyze object and separate the image into two different 2D background, the front interface and background interface. The two different image will be accepted by our left and right eyes, and then created two different deep visual illusion. This technology uses a Parallax Barrier, a thin slice of film

When the game is opened with a 2D to 3D Game Converter software, the program will automatically scan the game and match it with the list of games that are already optimized mobile 2D to 3D conversion. And if it is founded there, then the game will do the conversion with the default visual settings. But If it is not there, the game can still do the conversion but with manual settings. The Types of Mobile Gadget Batteries

Battery is most vital component of a handheld gagdet like smartphone, tablet pc. The most outstanding gadget technology will have no meaning if it does not have the battery to power it up. We need more longer battery power to enjoy the outstanding feature of smartphone or tablet pc. This is remind me of the battery problem with iPhone 4S. Many user complaining of shorter battery life of iPhone 4S than it should be and this is very annoying.

However I would like to share just for your  information about the types of battery from first to last generation below.

    1. NiCD. This is is first generation type of mobile battery . The battery has large-capacity and  suitable for the large-powered old type of mobile phones. According to the size and capacity, the process of charging time was quite a hassle. For example, the recharging should be start at the moment of battery out or empty. Because the NiCD batteries have memory effect. Whenever the battery is having the power, you should not recharge it until the battery is really out of power. If you don't follow this procedure, the battery will having shorter life.
    2. NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride). The next generation is the NiMH. This rechargeable batteries have memory effect but still is only temporary. So it's more flexible than NiCD types. You don't have to wait for the battery are right out of power, but the consequences it  will be quickly depleted. However this only lasted a while, when the battery is really run out of power, then its capacity will back to normal again.
    3. Li-ion (Lithium Ion). This type is different rather than two generations earlier, this types is no longer have a memory effect. So You can recharge the battery without waiting for the battery runs out. However this Li-ion battery has shorter life cycle. Even if you recharge it longer than usual time, the battery will lose its capacity, rather than NiCD or NiMH.
    4. Li-Po (Lithium Polymer). This is the most recent generation of rechargeable batteries. In addition to eco-friendly, its superiority over the battery Li-ion. Just like Li-ion,  you don't need to wait until it runs out to recharge this battery. But this battery needs extra careful treatment due to its liquid material, a harsh pressure can cause a battery change of form. The weakness of Li-Po is that it don't wait until the phone turns off by itself to recharge. Just recharge it as soon as possible when the mobile phone battery warning comes out. Otherwise, the phone will be difficult to be turn on because the battery has not been recovered fully.

Motorola Droid Razr With 13 MP Soon Available in China

We all know that USA is the first country for Motorola Droid RAZR release. However, Motorola Corporation in planning to release another version of Motorola Droid RAZR in China. It is claimed that version is going to be spectacular, more than the US or global version of Motorola Droid RAZR.

The  first China version of Motorola Droid RAZR is XT928 series, thus, it will be more thicker than Droid RAZR. This Motorola XT928 is going to be equipped with 13 MP camera and those for music lover, you will enjoy the Dolby Digital Plus Audio feature in it. Unfortunately it look like this features is sacrificing the one I really like with Original Motorola Droid RAZR, it is Kevlar material casing.
The next version of China RAZR series is MT917, specially designed for TD-SCDMA network. Beside thicker than original RAZR, it is also equipped with 4.5 " wide screen 1280x720 resolution, 13 MP camera, and the Kevlar material on its back cover.

We can tell this release of China RAZR version has not been scheduled to be available in the market and so is the price. However we can expect it will be on the market on the end of year 2011.

Tips on How to Conserve The Smartphone Battery

There no denying the popularity of the Android Operating System, we can see by the increasing number of users of mobile phones and smart phones based on Android. Using the Operating System is indeed very useful because there are many applications that we can use and most of it all is free . But the problems of the users of Smart Phone Android (our guess is also the Blackberry users also have the same problem) is a wasteful use of battery and quickly exhausted. There are ways to save the Smartphone batteries life from faster depleted.
    1. Reduce the display light. It's good to reduce the display light cell phone if it is in the dark or dimly lit room. In this way will help to reduce the use of enough battery power is absorbed by the lights. Furthermore, the existence of the display light in the room revealing light is not very crucial. The reason, the main light in the cell phone is quite able to support a variety of light you need a mobile phone.
    2. Lower the volume When Listening  Music. When Enjoying the music from the radio, mp3, or video, try to reduce the volume. Of course, the batteries will be more efficient if multimedia were turned off.
    3. Check Email Manually.  In most of the smart phone users are spoiled with push email service. But did you know, if that turns out to suck the energy of the battery ?. Try  checks email manually.
    4. Don't forget to turn off the wireless network. Check your cell phone, whether the wireless network is active or not. If it is active, immediately turn off. Sometime we forget to disable Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The active wireless networks will suck the battery energy.
    5. Check The Battery. For the users of smart phones, this can be done by installing an energy battery indicator application. There are some applications that inform Your cell phone battery power.

For example, iPhone users can use the application Battery Go and myBatteryLife. Both of these applications informs how energy battery remaining and predicts how Your phone is capable of running applications.
