Thunderbolt is based on Apple DisplayPort technology, so you can still use the Mini DisplayPort. You can also use standard adapters for DVI, HDMI, and VGA. But however the Thunderbolt technology compatibility on hard drives and audio devices is still in question. Right now the devices that use Thunderbolt technology currently on the market is just for display device only.
